Il Corbezzolo is a wonderful renovated stone cottage in the historical village “Borgo Mummialla”, only a few kilometers from San Gimignano. The Village has been mentioned in the 15th Century Leonardo Da Vinci maps with the name “Mummilla” where originally there were ancient Roman Baths. The baths are planned to be reopened soon.

The house is surrounded by large private garden just near to the woods where you can relax in unspoilt nature. The stone cottage has been renovated using material from the excavations of the village; it is made of stone and has the traditional Tuscan wood beamed ceilings.
The house is furnished in a rustic style and it has a lovely double bedroom with a walk- in closet, a living room with a comfortable double sofa bed and TV, a large open space kitchen with a fireplace and one bathroom with a shower. It has air conditioning and free wi-fi internet connection.
There is a BBQ and an area to eat outside with garden furniture including deckchairs, so you can have a very relaxing lunch or breakfast!
There is also a small vegetable garden so you can pick your organic vegetables from it.
In the Borgo there is a wonderful biodesign infinity shared outdoor pool with a stunning view of the Etruscan city of Volterra; there is a water massage area and beds around the pool.
A free car parking area near the house where you can park your car comfortably.

The house is located about 300 meters above sea level, on a hillside facing south and it offers a beautiful view of the valley and the ancient Etruscan city of Volterra.
The city of Gambassi Terme is 10 km away. San Gimignano, the medieval city, a “UNESCO” site, is 12 km away. The Etruscan city of Volterra, a rare beauty, is 14 km from the village. The city of Siena is about 60 km and Florence about 65 km. The Tyrrhenian sea is about 60 km. The airports of Florence and Pisa are about 70 km away. The nearest railway station is Certaldo, which is about 20 km.
You can also visit the nearby farm Poggio di Camporbiano where you can find the organic products obtained only from the crops and the animals of the farm, with the method of biodynamic agriculture.
ABOUT US
We stayed at this lovely house for a week and enjoyed every minute! This calm and peaceful nature around us and of course Pietro and his family - he and his wife and his daughter were extremely helpful and responsive. There is a booklet in the house with tons of tips for things to do and they have some coupons for restaurants as well. But we would recommend to just take the car and stop where you like it and enjoy an amazingly delicious evening. The Tuscan people are very nice and open for foreigners! Our whole stay was lovely and great, we may definitely recommend coming to the Corbezzolo!

We had a wonderful holiday in Il Corbezzolo enjoying the good things Tuscany has to (URL HIDDEN) Corbezzolo is a newly built house, big enough to accommodate a couple and two children, with all luxury (including AC and dishwasking machine) in style with with surrounding reconstructed houses of Il Bagno Mommilia. The house has a big garden, with a vegetable part (herbs, tomatoes for own use), ensuring perfect privacy. The lovely big 'endless' swimmingpool is shared with other guests of Mommilia and although in high season it was never (over)crowded. The complex is very well maintained giving it a park like atmosphere. Il Corbezzolo is an ideal base to discover Tuscany and all of its treasures, most of them well within an hour drive. It also serves as a good starting point for cycling trips in the vicinity. Do not expect the internet services and datarates like at home, both WIFI and 3G. It's there and it works, but then you are on holiday and not at work! We also enjoyed the hospiltality and kindness of its owner Pietro who made us feel welcome right from the start. He surprised us a few times with fresh fruits and vegetables from his own garden, very tasty and 'Bio'. It was a joy to use these for cooking.

Nous avons passé un trés agréable séjour chez Pietro, le lieu est idéal pour se reposer, la piscine est aussi belle que sur les photos, la vue correspond aux images d'épinales de la Toscane, le rêve quoi ! Quant à Pietro, il nous a gâtés en courgettes, concombres, tomates... Nous espèrons pouvoir revenir !

Das Corbezzolo stone cottage ist ein wunderbares, neues toskanisches Haus in einer wundervollen Umgebung. Sehr ruhig gelegen in der herrlichen Natur. Kein Lärm nur das pfeifen der Vögel und das zirpfen der Grillen hört man! Das Haus ist sehr gut eingerichtet und es ist alles vorhanden was man für einen angenehmen Ferienaufenthalt macht. Die Innendekoration ist modern und sehr schön geplant und ausgeführt. Pietro und seine Familie sind wunderbare und sehr freundliche Gastgeber! Wir kommen wieder und danken Pietro und seiner Familie von Herzen!!

Tres belle maison, conforme à l'annonce, bien équipée et agréable à vivre. Jardin bien équipéeavec transat et BBQ et petit potager privatif. Piscine du village magnifique, avec vue exceptionnelle sur la région. Emplacement idéal pour découvrir la Toscane entre Florence et Sienne et juste à coté de San Gimmigiano. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour.

Everything was perfect. Her boyfriend and mother welcomed us and showed us the amazing house and surroundings. The house itself is very clean and had everything we needed. The best though was the location:). Its a bit off the normal street, but in a very quiet&private area where you wont here anything at night except nature. Also it was a very good spot to explore tuscany. (pisa, florence, siena 1h drive) and the extremely beautiful san gimignano 20mins away. Sadly we couldnt test the pool as it was too cold. But we will be back!
